Construction supervision and ramp-up planning for an online beauty specialist

The challenge

Without suitable logistics capacities, rapid growth will not automatically translate into success. One of Germany’s best-known online suppliers of beauty products is also aware of this fact and is building a new logistics centre with around 28,000 sqm. of space. In the run-up, the intralogistics concept was revised, which required massive adjustments to the warehouse management system and technical layout. In addition, the stored products are considered hazardous to water, which resulted in additional costs for building protection. RizonX was entrusted with construction supervision and ramp-up.

Our Solution

  • Establishment of a Project Management Office (PMO) to control all workstreams
  • Clear allocation of responsibilities and coordination of all relevant stakeholders
  • Proposed solutions and detailed catalogue of measures for optimising intralogistics
  • Transparent reporting and tracking of all project progress
  • Easy-to-understand documentation for presentation at management level

Benefits for the client

  • Strict adherence to timeline and budget
  • Go live on the planned date
  • Significant minimisation of supplements in design and construction costs
  • Clear and complete documentation of the work packages
  • Knowledge transfer for the client’s future in-house projects
